Petach Tikva continues to grow: New housing project in the west

In the western parts of Petah Tikva a new housing project will be built over the period of several year, with the number of apartments planned to reach 2,200, reports the newspaper TheMarker.

Last month the planning commission and the construction of the Central District tentatively approved the project, in which the area located south of the industrial zone of Kiryat Matalon Street and west of Derech Rabin, will be zoned for 300 apartments.

Now the district commission tentatively approved a project to build 1,281 apartments in the same area and recently was approved by the local committee for planning and construction.

It is expected that the local commission is planning to adopt a third project for construction in the area, after which will be examined by the district commission.

The new are will consist of 2,200 apartments along with public buildings and educational institutions.

In the recent years, demand for apartments in Petah Tikva has grown significantly and property purchase has become very popular. To date, construction companies in Petach Tikva have sold more apartments than in any other city in Israel.
